I used to be a big skeptic about "certified" coaches - I met so many who seemed to be the naked folks offering shirts. My first coaching experience happened almost by accident, but ended up being the right dialogue at the right time in my life. I think finding a coach isn't necessarily so much about looking at certifications, but finding somebody who you can connect with for the next step in your development. It's got to be somebody who resonates with your values, and most importantly celebrates your strengths. I don't want a coach - and I do not want to BE a coach - who focuses on "fixing" problems. Above all, a coach has to be somebody who you can really laugh with. Because life is awfully full of moments worth laughing about! Nice podcast, Shane.
